Susann Pásztor: Und dann steht einer auf und öffnet das Fenster
Amazing book. Piece of art. Absolutely worth reading.
Don Norman: The Design of Everyday Things
Another one of those books I had on my kindle for… forever. I started it once, but seemingly got distracted, which had me start from the beginning again.
Great book, well written, lots of fun examples, and good coverage of fundamentals. Recommended.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: Die Leiden des jungen Werther
Epic. Short read. Recommended.
Boston Dynamics: ATLAS
I fondly remember some of my friends who work at Boston Dynamics. What an amazing accomplishment.
Tracy Kidder: The Soul of A New Machine
Fun read as well, even though it gets repetitive/boring after a while, and lacks some structure (jumps back and forth) – but certainly worth reading.
Neal Stephenson: Snow Crash
Excellent read even though the metaverse is pretty much here now 🙂
on equity
The one thing I miss in all those conversations around equity: To provide equity, you have to shed some of your privileges. Actively give power. It’s tougher, it requires more than just listening, it requires action.
It is, however, the only way to bring true equity.
(and if you feel you’re the most tolerant, inclusive individual already, it’s even more important that you actively take part in the redistribution of power and privileges – don’t think individuals from suppressed demographics have to do the heavy lifting)
